Quebec calculations are part of the core and are never charged separately. A firm's per-client discount beats the flat firm fee at roughly five Essentials clients, so the model only rewards genuine multi-client firms.

Straight answers

The questions that decide it.

Is it actually CRA-compliant?

Yes. RunPayroll calculates CPP, CPP2, EI, and federal and provincial income tax to the CRA's published formulas, and generates T4, T4A, and ROE documents ready for you to file.

Does RunPayroll pay my employees or the CRA?

No. We calculate net pay and remittance amounts and generate the payslips. You pay your employees and remit to the CRA directly, through your own bank.

Which provinces are supported?

Statutory deductions are calculated for all thirteen provinces and territories. For Quebec employees, QPP, QPIP, and Quebec income tax run automatically at no extra charge; RL-1 slips are on the way.

Can my accountant run payroll for me?

Yes. Firms manage many clients from one portal, with staff assigned to specific clients and each client on their own plan.

How does per-employee pricing work?

An employee counts for a month only if they were paid at least once in that month. Seasonal and part-year staff do not cost you in the months they are not paid.
