Electronic Delivery Notice

Draft, last updated pending counsel review

This notice is for employees and contractors whose employer uses the RunPayroll portal. It explains how your payroll documents are delivered.

Electronic delivery

Your employer delivers pay statements and year-end documents (such as T4 slips) through a secure portal. Documents are provided in a form you can view, download, and print. Federal rules permit employers to deliver T4-type slips through a secure portal, and Ontario permits electronic wage statements where you can access and print them.

Paper copies

Paper copies remain available where the law requires them or where your employer's policy provides them. Ask your employer; they issue your documents.

Your responsibilities

  • Keep your login credentials secure and do not share them.
  • Keep your contact information current so delivery notifications reach you.

Who controls your documents

Your employer, not RunPayroll, controls the content and issuance of your payroll documents and remains your employer of record. Questions about amounts, corrections, or reissues go to your employer first. Privacy questions about the portal itself can go to privacy@runpayroll.ca.

Counsel Confirm the former-employee and leave scenarios (CRA excepts some from portal-only delivery) and whether this notice should be presented for acceptance at first portal access.
